Chester J. Chmielewski

Chester J. Chmielewski, age 91, passed away on July 14, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Maryanne; children: Kathleen (the late Billy) Blackwell, Joann (Lonnie) Franklin, the late Robert; daughter-in-law: Carol; grandchildren: Kimberly, Robert, Sara, Melissa, Kyle; great-grandchildren: Benjamin, MaKayla, Dylan; and siblings: William (Pat), Carol (the late Allen) Fliger, and the late Dolores (Mike) Jachcinski. Also left to cherish his memory are many loving nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. Chester was a Sergeant in the Detroit Police Department for over 30 years. He was a devoted catholic, and a Red Wings and Tigers fan.

A memorial mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 28301 Little Mack Ave., St. Clair Shores. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery on August 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
