She loved life, her family and Jesus. Now our mom rests in the arms of her Saviour. Through our tears and with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mom on June 7, 2021 at the age of 87.
Mom is survived by daughters Sheila Ruetz MacDairmid, Dawn Learning Azevedo [Joe] and son Dan Ruetz [Tina]. Much loved grandchildren that will miss their Nana are Michael Learning, Steph Azevedo, Kalan Ruetz-Mills, Dennis, Michelle and Terence Ruetz, Karly and Abby Ruetz as well as 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by husbands Ralph Ruetz [1987] and Gord Gray [2001] and beloved son John Ruetz [1995]
Mom was very dedicated to Jesus, faithfully reading her Bible and doing daily devotionals. It was Moms faith that saw her through not only everyday life but this past year with her illness. Mom was very strong and feisty yet loving, compassionate and always positive. It was with this compassion that mom had a million man hours of volunteer work mainly with seniors. Mom had many hobbies which included writing poetry and short stories, fishing, Bible study, rumoli, baking and knitting. Mom accomplished so much in her life but her legacy will be her faith, her kindness and love she showed to everyone she met and of course her singing.
Due to COVID restrictions, a celebration of our Moms life will be held at a later date [at Calvary Church]. Donations, if desired, may be made to Hospice Niagara in St Catharines. Arrangements entrusted to Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, St. Catharines.
