Leonard Vivian Wilton

Peacefully passed away after a brief illness at Hospice Niagara on Friday, June 3, 2011 with family by his side in his 90th year. Beloved husband for 45 years of Kay (Simich). Loving father of Bill Simich, Barb (Peter) Craig, Robert (Kim) Simich, Barry Wilton and Jack Wilton. Proud Papa of Kerri (Steve) McIntosh, Jodi (Tony DiTillio) Craig, Katy (Paul) Sroka, Jennifer and Matthew Simich and Kelly (Daniel) Carfagnini. Survived by several great-grandchildren. Len was a longtime member of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club, served in the Canadian Air Force, was an Assessor and Commissioner for the Property Assessment and worked for the Rent Review Board prior to his retirement. He was also an avid sports fan and formerly a scout with the Montreal Canadiens.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at St. Catharines Place Retirement Residence, 113 Scott St (905-646-8137) from 3- 5 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
