In 2001, John was inducted as a Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of Ontario. He was an active member of the St. Catharines and District Shrine Club. In his youth, John’s passions were rowing and football. In later years, he enjoyed squash, competitive running, and working out at the gym. He was a long standing member of the Fitness Club of White Oaks. John looked forward each winter to vacationing in Mexico, and coming home to his garden each spring. Family gatherings, especially during the holidays, were very important to him. He relished his time at home, and spent many hours grilling on the barbecue, and lounging on the patio.
A special thanks to the entire Staff at the NHS St. Catharines 3rd floor Oncology ward for their special care and comfort.
