Jane Elizabeth (Longley) Bray

Suddenly, yet peacefully, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Friday, October 19, 2018, in her 88th year. Dear wife of the late William E. Bray. Predeceased by her parents; Howard and Zelda Longley and her brother James Longley. Survived by her stepson Bob (Janet), her step grandchildren; Bryan and Warren Bray, her sister in law Celia, her nephews; David, James (Kathi), Bill, and Rob (Kari), and her niece Elizabeth. Lovingly remembered by her neighbours, The Wuhlar family; Darla, Jerry, Mary, Mathew and Nicholas; and her longtime friend Rob Anderson.

Born and raised in St. Catharines, Jane was a longtime member of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club where she was active in golf, bridge and line dancing. She was also a longtime member of the former Welland Avenue United Church and enjoyed many years in the choir and bell choir there.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346) from 4 – 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 12 – 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jane’s life will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
