Kenneth "Ken" Blankenship, 71, of Breckenridge Hills passed away suddenly on Friday, August 3, 2018 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie William and Mary Blankenship. Ken is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary (nee Fell) Blankenship; children, Billy Althaus (Carol Sharkey), Cathy (Rob) Tonkinson, and Kenny Blankenship; grandchildren, Nick, Gabrielle, Katie, Loren, Hannah, Khia, and Kiarra; sister, Susie Perkins; and brother, Walter (Shirley) Blankenship; dear cousin, uncle, and friend to many.
Ken was a talented mechanic who loved cars and was always working on a project. He served as an Alderman for the city of Breckenridge Hills for many years and retired from St. Louis County. Ken enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a big NASCAR fan. He was a man who was willing to help out anyone and was a strong man who provided for his family. He will be missed by everyone who loved him.
Friends may visit on Thursday, August 9 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. A private burial will be held on Friday, August 10 at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
