Jean Elizabeth Guyot, 76, of Woodson Terrace, Asleep in Jesus Monday, April 11, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Edith (nee Lewis) Walsh and a brother, James Walsh, Jr. Jean is survived by her sons, Stephen (Karen) Guyot and Jeff Guyot; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jacob) Hawkins, Staci Guyot (Jess Skidmore), and Christian Guyot; great grandson, Archer Hawkins; and sister, Carol Thoma.
Jean loved collecting quilts and crocheting. She worked hard (working as many as 3 jobs) to support her sons as a single mother, often sacrificing things for herself so her boys could have all that they needed and wanted. She never owned a brand new car. She also enjoyed cheering on her St. Louis sports teams, including the Rams, Cardinals, and Blues. Jean loved her family and really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly.
Friends may visit at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.alexanderstlouis.com.
