James D. Stover of Florissant, age 69. At peace Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012. Beloved husband of Connie (Rebert) Stover; dearest father of Kristi Palmer and Cindy Morgan, both of South Carolina. Dear brother of Gary (Donna) Stover, Don (Phyllis) Stover, Janis (Bob) Davis and Mary Lou Cox. He was preceded in death by his loving parents JD and Eva Stover and a brother Carl Stover of Laurens, SC. Step father of Donna (Russ) Haley, Roger (Denise) Rebert, Pam (Mike) Gill and David Rebert. Loving grandfather, step-grandfather, great grandfather, step great grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He was a Korean and Vietnam Veteran and was awarded many honors including the Purple Heart. Jim was an active member of the Elks Lodge 2316 of Florissant and was a life member of the VFW. He was awarded the Elk Citizen of the Year in 2010.
SERVICES: Funeral service 10 a.m. Thurs. Sept. 6, 2012, at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann. Burial to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Wed., Sept. 5.
