Barry Wayne Light, 68, of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024. A kind and gentle soul with a passion for life’s simple joys, Barry will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Barry was born on November 13, 1956 and was preceded in death by his loving mother, LaNae Light. He is survived by his brothers, Jim Light and Michael Light, and his cherished companion, his chihuahua Mickey, who rarely left his side.
A proud Army Veteran, Barry served his country with honor and carried the values of dedication and loyalty throughout his life. In his free time, Barry found happiness in the things he loved most—immersing himself in video games, watching classic war movies, and indulging his lifelong fascination with trains. Whether it was admiring the engineering marvels of locomotives or reminiscing about his favorite war films, Barry always found beauty in the world around him.
Above all, Barry’s favorite moments were spent lounging at home with Mickey, his constant companion, who brought him comfort and joy.
Barry’s legacy is one of warmth, love, and quiet strength. His family takes comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his mother and that his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
