Ann Laverne Davis, age 88, of Hazelwood, Missouri peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, surrounded by the love of her cherished family. She is preceded in death by her husband, William F. Davis, her parents, Ralph and Laverne (nee Cruz) Birely, and her sisters, Frankie Bibb, Kay Bryan, and Janet Birley.
Ann’s devotion to her family was unparalleled, and she is survived by her children, Lynn Tucker, William (Joann) Davis, Clayton Davis, and Geri (Pat) Stump. She was an adoring grandmother to Julie and Jeanette Tucker, Jamie (Dan) Stafos, Tracy (Lucas) Zimmerman, and Ashley Stump, and great-grandmother to Dominic Stafos, Skylar Stump, Riley and Parker Zimmerman. Ann also leaves behind a sister, Geri Beetz. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate to share in her journey.
A passionate enthusiast of the arts, Ann found immense joy in ceramics, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected her creative spirit. She was a social butterfly, hosting bridge parties and engaging in various card games, with Kismet, Yahtzee, and Scrabble being her favorites.
Cooking was another of Ann’s many talents, and she delighted in preparing elaborate meals, especially during the holidays. Her joy in sharing these moments with her family echoes her love for creating lasting memories through laughter and good food.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Solace Hospice for their exceptional care, particularly the special attention to their mother.
A private service is planned, and Ann will be laid to rest with her beloved William at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, St. Ann, Missouri.
