Ralph Franklin Burris was born in Galena, Kansas to Walter and Doris Burris on May 5, 1944. He went to Riverton High School. He has been married to Myoung Cha Burris for over 50 years.
He graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and retired as a pilot from the U.S. Army with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3). He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Campaign Stars, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Aviator Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and the Armed Forced Reserve Medal.
Ralph Franklin Burris is preceded in death by Walter Burris (father), Doris Burris (mother), Clara Mae Hargis (sister), Jenny Sue Sanders (sister) and Edward Burris (brother).
Ralph Franklin Burris is survived by his wife, Myoung Burris, Yi Lynne and Mark Weber (daughter and son-in-law), Jessica and Erich Holzshu (daughter and son-in-law), James and Grace Weber (grandchildren), Sofia and Savanna Holzshu (grandchildren).
Funeral services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
