Of Springfield, on September 20 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of 55 years to Emma Ruth Booth; also survived by nephew Thomas Yahraes, Jr. of New Mexico.
Philip proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, and worked until retirement in the USN Research Lab in Maryland as a metallurgist. Philip enjoyed painting, and following his retirement, he studied art for 20 years.
Friends welcome on Thursday, September 25 from 6-8 pm at the Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 26 at 10:30 am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Philip’s memory to the Greenspring Village Benevolent Care Fund.
