Mitch was born in Irumagawa, Saitama, Japan to Clarence Rogozinski and Patricia Lou Southward-Rogozinski on February 15, 1959. He went to school in Irwin, Pennsylvania. He married Nam Rogozinski on November 7, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada and they spent 23 years traveling the world and enjoying life. Mitch is a graduate of Regents College and continued to educate himself. If you knew Mitch, then you know how he loved to share his knowledge. He worked as an IT Specialist who delivered Headquarters modernization efforts to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) through project management oversight for all IT systems integration. Mitch worked for the Department of Defense for 19 years, and before that served 21 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Sergeant Major. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and served in the Special Forces. He served in overseas assignments to include the Middle East. Mitch was awarded the Legion of Merit Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 bronze service stars, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, and the Valorous Unit Award.
Mitch is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Lou Southward-Rogozinski and his father, Clarence Rogozinski, and stepson, Bruce Ramsey.
Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Nam Rogozinski, Stepson, Byron Ramsey and his wife Valarie Ramsey, Brother, Marcus Rogozinski, Step-mom, Diane Rogozinski, Step-Sister, Rebecca Bamford, Step-sister, Renee Brooks, Grandsons Tyson Ramsey, Taylor Ramsey and Damon Payne, Granddaughters Talynn Ramsey and Aliana Hebert, and his Niece, Kim Hatfield.
Pallbearers will be Craig Smith, Abbott Koehler, Peter Welsch, Kenny Johnson, John Dodson, Jay Menzel, Duc Nguyen, Tyson Ramsey, Taylor Ramsey.
Memorial services will be held at the Ft. Belvoir Chapel on Saturday, December 16, 2023 From 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm at 5950 12th St. #101, Ft. Belvoir, VA 22060 with Chaplain Dabeck of the Fort Belvoir Main chapel, officiating. Arrangements are by Demaine Funeral Home.
