Fortney Hamilton McClung

Born July 19, 1940 in Nettie, WV, to the late Olin and Helen (Rock) McClung. He was a car salesman for over 50 years in the Northern Virginia area. He never met a stranger and was the best car salesman in the area. He would always get you financed when no one else could. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, and friend to all. He loved to root for West Virginia University. Go Mountaineers!

He is survived by his son, Bruce and Debra McClung of Berryville, VA; daughter, Debbie and Dale Walston of Swansboro, NC; grandson Jackson Darman of Berryville, VA; brother-in-law, Shihadeh (Joe) Sayyad of Chevy Chase, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Vara Lee Sayyad.

The family will be receiving guests Monday, January 15, 2024 at Demaine Funeral Home at 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA from 1:00-2:00 with a funeral service 2:00-3:00. Kenny O’Dell will officiate the ceremony.

There will be a small family graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Nettie WV (Nicholas County) on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 am.
