Barbara Ann Hughes (Age 73) On Friday, August 22, 2014, Barbara Ann Hughes (Pullen) passed away peacefully. Barb was a longtime resident of Springfield, VA and was the beloved wife of the late John Hughes; loving mother of Michele Connole (fiancé Jamie Lewis) of Charlotte, NC; mother of Bobby (wife Kathy) of Fairfax, VA; devoted Grandma to Jason, Heather and Ryan, and Great-Grandma to three. Barb was born September 8, 1940 in Front Royal, VA and was a sales associate at Kmart, and later Walmart. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 27 at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunrise of Fairfax’s Residence Activity Program, 9207 Arlington Blvd., Fairfax, VA 22031.
