Of Annandale, on August 23, at the age of 98. Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Etta A. Garcia, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 6 sisters. He was the dear uncle of Robert Garrett, Richard Garrett, Kevin Fortner, Gloria Bennett, and Robert Hernandez; grand-uncle of 9 including Joylene Bennett; great grand-uncle of 1; and great-great grand-uncle of 2.
Armando proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and would go on to work as a purchasing agent for both State and Federal Government until his retirement.
Friends welcome on Thursday, August 28 from 6-8 pm at the Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, August 29, beginning at 12:45 pm at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church.
