Thomas J. "Tom" Nicholson

Thomas “Tom” J. Nicholson, 79, of Springfield passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Tom was born on May 7, 1933 in Williamsville, the son of Jordan and Francis (Sharp) Nicholson. He married Mary E. Hood on June 8, 1973, she preceded him in death . Tom worked as a welder for Fiat Allis for 32 years, he also worked for 15 years at Marr Trucking. Tom was a charter member of the Harley Owners Group, and of AMA. He is survived by a daughter Linda Brickey, a son Fred (Janet) Schmulbach, daughter-in-law Debra Schmulbach, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many cousins, and friends. Also preceding him in death is his parents, son Bruce Lee Schmulbach, and son-in-law Jerry Brickey. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10 am, at Bisch & Son Funeral Home , 505 E Allen St Springfield. IL 62703. Visitation will be held on the same day from 9 am until the time of services. Burial will follow at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Rev. Vaughn Beeman will conduct the services.
