Shirley Ann Sheppard of Springfield, formerly of Taylorville, died on February 20, 2007 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 24, 1932 in Taylorville, the daughter of Roy and Ruth Oliver Moats. She married Clarence Sheppard; he preceded her in death in 1993. She graduated from Havana High School in 1951 and was a retired office worker, having served at many different companies. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, drawing and watching her favorite television program “The Price Is Right”. Shirley Ann was a fun loving, and giving lady who throughout her entire life put others before herself. She was also preceded in death by her son Kipp Sheppard in 2006; her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her grandson: Kipp “J.R.” Sheppard of Springfield; her granddaughter: Heather Sheppard also of Springfield; two great-grandchildren; one brother: Dick Moats of Taylorville; three sisters: Eileen McKenzie of Florida, Evelyn Buble and Bonnie Hastings both of Decatur and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with Scott Brindley officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville. The family of Shirley Ann Sheppard is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
