Sara Feuer

She was born March 17, 1918 in Springfield, the daughter of Julius and Lena Feuer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Isadore, Hyman A., Joseph, and brother-in-law Morris Brozgold and her sisters Rose, Belle Brozgold, and Annette.

Sara is survived by her sister-in-law Frances Feuer.

She was a member of Temple Israel, the Springfield Jewish Federation, and Hadassah. Sara was on the board of the Springfield Theatre Guild and very active directing and producing plays. She was a graduate of Springfield High School and a 1937 graduate of Illinois Business College, Secretarial Division.

Her work career included employment with the Illinois Commercial Telephone Company. However, her most important working experience came as a part owner in a family business, General Auto Supply Co., and as an agent with Belle Feuer Insurance Agency.

Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00 am Monday, August 29, 2016 at Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, followed by a funeral at 11:00am and burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery officiated by Rabbi Barry Marks and Rabbi Michael Datz.
