Ruth E. Vincent

Ruth E. Vincent, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at Concordia Village. She was born on September 2, 1929 in Curran to George and Ruth Jackson Raps. Ruth married Don Vincent on February 19, 1956 in Curran and he preceded her in death in April of 1991.

Mrs. Vincent is survived by her daughter Sheri (Stan) Pierce of Springfield, two grandchildren: Kevin Pierce of Springfield and Todd Pierce of Chicago, one great-grandchild Carson Pierce, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jean Tolliver.

Ruth graduated from New Berlin High School in 1947 and she worked for Liberty Loan and Warren Boynton State Bank. She was a member of United Baptist Church in New Berlin and Neighbors Together Again (NTA) and she enjoyed reading and spending time with friends and family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday February 29, 2016 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with burial to follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Loami. The family will meet friends from 2:00-4:00pm Sunday at Bisch West.
