Robert was born on January 17, 1993, in Detroit MI, the son of Dionne R. Pittman and Crystal L. (Fields) Ochoa.
He graduated from Springfield High School where he was actively involved in the band and choir. Robert was a loved member of the local theatre and drag community, where he was known as Ladie Selena, and in the LGBTQIA+ community. He was known for being outgoing, out-spoken, tenacious, authentically himself, boisterous, joyful, full of life, a performer, and a free spirit. Robert enjoyed singing and dancing, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. He also loved meeting new people and playing fun childhood games with his siblings.
Robert was preceded in death by his father; and beloved golden retriever, Retto.
He is survived by his mother; step-mother, Glenda Pittman; grandparents, Janette and Robert Pittman; sisters, Nicole Pittman and LaChelle Pittman both of Springfield; brothers, Brandon Geary of Virginia and Darius Pittman of Texas; beloved bonus siblings, Makalah Constanza and Colton Allen both of Springfield; nephew, Zakaryia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL.
Memorial Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield with Brenda Protz officiating.
