Becky was born in Chicago, Mar. 7, 1943 the daughter of Charles and Doris (Rulison) Grim. She married David D. Groeninger in Bloomington, IL May 18, 1963 and he preceded her in death, Aug. 29, 2007.
A devoted wife and mother, her family meant everything to her. She also found joy in helping others and being involved in her church and community. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Becky was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, PEO Sisterhood, LR Chapter, the Cachet Club, and the American Central Bridge League. She served in several capacities with the Care Givers of St. John’s Hospital and the Senior Services of Central IL.
She is survived by her children: Cindy (John) Jordan of San Tan Valley, AZ, Laura Groeninger of Franklinton, NC, and Rick (Trish) Groeninger of Auburn, IL. She has four grandchildren, Jereme (Ashley) Groeninger of Surprise, AZ, Hanah (Donny) Klein of the Dominican Republic, Cassidy Carson of Franklinton, NC and Kalynn Groeninger of Auburn, IL, four great grandchildren, Bjorn and Kai Groeninger and Elijah and Rebecca (her namesake) Klein. Also surviving are her brother, Earl (Jan) Grim of Bloomington, IL, her sister, Mary Ellen (Bob) Davis of Sheridan, AR, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet family and friends at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 am. Pastor Joshua T. Traxel will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
