Paul was born on November 2, 1953, the son of Edward F. and Catherine Suzanne Johnson Sheehan.
If you met Paul, at first you would see a gruff old man, a little bit ragged and set in his ways. As you got to know him, you would find a person who loved to build things, fix things, and talk about it. Over time you might learn that he was born in Peoria, that he graduated from Schlarman High School in Danville in 1972, and that he held a BA in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Paul might have told you that he worked at Bunn-O-Matic in the Quality Control Department and that he worked more recently in property management with C&M Rentals in Springfield. In the end, you would have liked him because he was caring, funny, and a little bit odd. We will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a sister, Therese (Sheehan) Strome of St. Cloud Minnesota; three brothers Tim (wife, Melody) Sheehan of Springfield, Dan (wife, Karen) Sheehan of Rockford, IL, and Matt Sheehan of Norwood, Colorado; two nephews, Aaron Sheehan of Springfield and Kodiac Crank-Sheehan of Telluride, CO; and one niece, Catherine (Sheehan) Miller of Springfield.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to private family ceremonies.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home—Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
