She was born in Jacksonville on June 20, 1953, the daughter of Earl and Catherine Brown Hinman. She married Roger Alexander July 31, 1980. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2022.
Patricia graduated from JHS in 1971, where she excelled in home economics, sewing, and French. She was an excellent baker, seamstress, and enjoyed needlepoint and gardening. She worked as an administrative assistant for Marine Bank in Springfield for many years before her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Ryan Alexander of Springfield; brothers, Lt. Col. Walter L. (Kathy) Hinman (retired U.S. Army) of Alabama, James Hinman of Georgia, Gary (Linda) Hinman of Jacksonville, and Larry (Phil) Hinman of California; sister, Linda Allen of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Ronald Hinman.
Memorial gathering and memorial ceremony: Friday, October 20, 2023, family will receive friends at Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the ceremony at 11:00 a.m. with celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
