Marcia Kay Moore

Marcia K. Moore, 64, of Springfield, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at home. Marcia was born on March 31, 1949, in Watseka, IL, the daughter of the late Edgar and Ellen (Jimison) Weaver. Marcia married Philip Moore on September 25, 1971, in Kankakee, IL. They moved to Springfield in 1981, where she worked for the State of Illinois Department of Human Services until she retired in 2002. Marcia and Philip were long time members of West Side Christian Church. Marcia was an avid sports fan, always cheering for her favorite Springfield High Senators and Fighting Illini. She spent many years assisting her husband with photography and traveling.

Survivng Marcia is her loving husband of 42 years Philip Moore, her children; Michelle Muldrew of Roanoke, VA, and Todd Moore of Atlanta, GA, her grandson Bryce Deeringer, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services are being conducted through Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL, 62711, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 4-7 pm. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Vaughn Beeman will be on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Those who wish may leave memorials in Marcia's name to the American Diabetes Association.
