Kevin D. Cain

He was born April 28, 1968 in Springfield the son of John L. and Mettie M. Cox Cain. He was preceded in death by a brother , John L. Cain IV.

Mr. Cain was a graduate of Rochester High School, Lincoln Land Community College and Sangamon State University. He had been employed at the Illinois Community College Board for 21 years where for the last several years he was the Director for Information Technology. He had served on the Board for the Springfield Center for Independent Living and was also the Commissioner for fantasy baseball and football leagues.

He is survived by a brother, Patrick E. Cain of Auburn and extended family, Jessica Carter, Jackie Pace and Liz Becker and several cousins.

The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel where friends may call Tuesday Mar. 20, 2007 from 5 to 7:00pm. Services will be held at the Funeral Chapel 10:30 am Wednesday Mar. 21, 2007 with Rev. Roger Moore officiating. Interment will be in Chatham Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the Illinois Community College Foundation Kevin D. Cain Scholarship Fund for students with disabilities.
