She was born in Springfield on July 4, 1951, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Menezes) Moore. Kate married William Tucker, Sr., in Lincoln on June 24, 1996.
Kate attended Ursuline Academy and later Lincoln Land Community College. She went on to work at St. John’s Hospital as a pharmacy technician for 25 years. Kate later worked for H.D. Smith as a medical supply representative until her retirement in 2016. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Kate loved watching the Bachelor and Bachelorette, eating out, and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Thomas and James Moore.
Kate is survived by her husband, William; son, David Michael (Nicole) Walter of Waterloo; daughters, Lisa (Kenneth) Morrow of Springfield and Jennifer (Alexis) Elkins of Whitestown, IN; step-sons, William Tucker, Jr., of Colorado Springs, CO, Benjamin P. (Courtney) Tucker of Enid Oklahoma, and Aaron Michael Tucker of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Joshua (Abby) Morrow, Amanda (Jake) Erickson, Devon Walter, and Kailey Walter; step-grandchildren Thaila and Aidin (Deedra) Tucker; great-grandchildren, Lucy Morrow and Addison Erickson; and several nieces and nephews.
