He was born on March 11, 1925 in Carlinville, IL, the son of the late Arch and Bertha (Cochran) Myers.
Mr. Myers served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Pillsbury Mill in Springfield. He enjoyed watching TV reruns.
He is survived by 1 daughter Peggy Myers of Springfield; 2 sons, Stephen Myers of Carlinville, IL and Mark (wife Sara) Myers of Riverton, IL; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son William Myers, and 6 siblings.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 9 am until time of the funeral service at 10 am. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
