Rev. Dr. Glenn Hall Leach

He was born on Dec. 26, 1927 in White Hall, IL, the son of the late Orlando Glenn and Blanche (Hall) Leach. He married Junella Luckenbill on May 8, 1955 at First Presbyterian Church in Oakland, CA and she survives.

Dr. Leach served as the Minister of Higher Education for the American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Army during the World War II era and was a member of Elliott Avenue Baptist Church.

Besides his wife Junella, he is survived by a son Paul (fiancé Beth Henricks) Leach of Salisbury, 2 grandsons Alex Leach of Chicago, IL and Chris Leach of Salisbury, IL a niece Robin and a nephew Chris.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Leach and a sister Charlotte.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 9 am until time of the funeral service at 11:30 am at Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, 501 W. Elliott Ave., Springfield. Services will follow at 11:30 am with Rev. Roger Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
