Colton "Colty" Lee Sexton

Colton “Colty” Sexton, 11, of Springfield, died at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at his residence. Colty was born October 2, 1993 in Springfield the son of Robert L. Sexton, Jr. and Christina Bradley Harris. He attended AC Central School in Ashland, IL and played T-Ball for Meijer Store. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Children’s Choir. He attended Camp Courage in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Barbara Sexton. He is survived by his mother: Chris (husband, John) Harris of Springfield; father: Bob (wife, Suzy) Sexton of Springfield; stepsister: Ashley Harris of Springfield; stepbrother: Danny Harris of Springfield; grandparents: Larry and Elaine Bradley, Bob Sexton, Joyce and Ron Brooks, Diane Cockrell, Ron Boston, Jaunita and Bob Horner all of Springfield; great grandfather: James Wise of Springfield; great grandmother: Pauline Lee of Springfield; several aunts and uncles; great aunt: Brenda Matheis; great uncle: Bill Matheis of Springfield and four cousins: Lindsay and Hailey Allan both of Ashland, Hannah Reichert and Stephanie Matheis both of Springfield. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Moorman officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
