Catherine J. Cripe, 54, of Springfield, died at 10:52 p.m., November 11, 2010 at St. John's Hospital. Cathi was born March 23, 1956 the daughter of Joseph E. and Carole Graham Cripe. She was preceded in death by her son, Adam and brother, Jim. Cathi worked for the State of IL Dept. of Human Services retiring in 2010. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her parents Joe & Carole Cripe of Duluth, GA; brothers Steve Cripe, Bill (Janet) Cripe both of Springfield, David Cripe of Lawrenceville, GA and Tim (Michelle) Cripe of Cumming, GA; sister-in-law, Laura Cripe of Crystal Lake, IL; several nieces and nephews; three great-nieces; several close friends and co-workers. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
