Carla K. Angeles

Carla was preceded in death by her parents Jacqueline Hornstein and Merle Hornstein, God Mother Edith Hogarth and her sister Kathleen Clark.

She is survived by her soul mate and and selfless care giver Michael Angeles, two daughters: Rita Baker (David), Renee Gines (Benjie), beloved grandchildren: Rylie Peebles (Jon) , Quinn Gines (Fae Monroe) and Simon Baker (Rachel Meister), aunt Joann Parks (Lyle), cousin and friend Cindy Hopkins and nephew Scotty Clark (Elisha).

Carla attended Lanphier high school. She was a very devoted homemaker and mother, as her children grew she was employed in the cafeteria at Lanphier High School and a favorite server at numerous restaurants.

With an initial meeting in 1967, Carla and Mike later married at South Side Christian Church October 5th, 1974. Carla loved bingo, yard sales, thrifting and roller skating. She was a master gift wrapper and always ensured everyone had a homemade birthday cake. Her guilty pleasure included Pepsi and Jerry Springer. She was 4:20 friendly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Riverton Village Hall, 1200 East Riverton Road, Riverton, IL. 62561 from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
