She was born on June 21, 1935 in Springfield, the beloved youngest daughter of the late Fred and Gladys (Ennis) Morse. She married her college sweetheart, Harry Landon Busch, on October 1, 1955 in Springfield and he preceded her in death in 1996, after forty-plus years of marriage.
Ann took great satisfaction in her job providing educational materials with the Illinois Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, School District 186, Springfield, IL for over 20 years, retiring in 2003. She loved “a bit” of gambling and enjoyed card games of all types with her great group of pals, solving cross word puzzles, watching Jeopardy and playing the lottery. She was an avid reader of all genres, a talented cook, a caring friend and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Despite her children’s best efforts, Ann managed to raise, and is survived by, her four practically perfect daughters, Dee Busch of Evanston, IL, Theresa Busch of Chicago, IL, Linda (daughter-in-law Amy Varner) Busch of Springfield, and Betsy Busch of Springfield. She doted on her devoted grandson, Erik Landon Busch of Springfield. He also survives. She also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her sisters (and partners in crime) Dorothy Beall and Ellyn Benedetto.
