Virginia L. DeLong

Virginia DeLong, age 95, of Springboro, OH; entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday November 11, 2019 at Kettering Memorial Hospital. Virginia was born in Olive Hill, KY on February 22, 1924 to the late James Marion and Bertha Mae (Roark) Hollingsworth. Her father was killed in the coal mines and her mother married Luther Kiser when she was 13 years old. She was formerly employed with West Carrollton Schools and Kettering Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was a 50 year member of West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene. Virginia was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Eagerly awaiting her was her husband of sixty years, Robert L. Delong, 3 brothers, Marcus, J.R. and Jackie Hollingsworth; and a sister, Ottilee Smithson. She is survived by her two sons, Robert L. (Marie) DeLong Jr. and Louis D. (Joann) DeLong, five grandchildren, Brian Blevins, Amanda, Tyler (Kryssi), Steven, and Paige DeLong; one great grandchild, Addison DeLong and one on the way. Funeral Services are 1pm Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH with Pastor Ed Winkle and Pastor Brian Heil officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 12pm to 1pm at the funeral home with the funeral service to follow.
