Truman Choate, aged 94, went to be with his Lord Saturday, April 29th 2023, at Hospice of Butler/Warren County. He was a longtime resident of Springboro, Ohio. Truman was born April 25th 1929, in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Clark and Mary Choate.
He was a combat medic in the Korean War.
He worked multiple jobs but primarily with General Motors and retired in 1990. Truman found a new passion in wood working. He made multiple kids toys and puzzles. Many family members have wooden boxes by Truman as well as a few who have roll top desks perfectly crafted by him. He was able to look at a picture in a magazine and replicate whatever the wood project was with his little touches. He was always "making sawdust."
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 11 brothers and sisters, several nieces, and nephews.
Truman is survived by his wife of 67 years ,Louise; daughter, Kathy Thomas (Herb); son, Tom Choate (Debbie); Grandchildren, Stephanie Reese (James), Jennifer Huffman (Jay), Faith Huffman (Mike), Clark Choate (the late Jessica); Great Grandchildren, Ryan Bonfini (Lilly), Brandi Mitchell (Isaiah), Ashley Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell, Lance Wilcox, Travis Mitchell, Connor Bell, Rosalie Choate, Everett Choate; Great-Great Grandchildren, Rowan Bonfini and Lucien Claudio.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Anderson Funeral Home- Springboro Chapel, 40 North Main Street, Springboro with Reverend Anthony Wade officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Springboro Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
