Terri Sue VanZant-Marvin

Terri was a huge part of the Oncology Service line and Kettering Health for many years. She was a colleague, friend and mentor to many. Her smile would light up a room. Her laugh was very contagious.To know her was to love her.

Most of Terri’s career was spent with Kettering health. Terri’s knowledge and experience was unmatched. She graduated from Kettering College in 1990 and started with inpatient oncology. Moved to Oncology research nurse with KH then with the Dayton Clinical Oncology Program until 1995. From 1995-2001, she served in several roles with Hospice of Dayton. She returned to Kettering Health in 2005, leading oncology services at GMH until 2011 when she transitioned into the leader of Cancer Specialists of Greater Dayton which aligned into Kettering Cancer Care in 2013 where she was the Director of Operations until 2018 when she decided to narrow her focus and lead the medical oncology and infusion teams at Soin and Troy. Most recently, Terri has been our lung nodule clinic nurse navigator. The number of cancer patients she impacted is immeasurable.

Terri was 61 years old. She lived in Springboro, Ohio. She was married to Steven E Marvin from 2016 until 2024. With 3 stepchildren, Steven L Marvin, Erin (Scott) Richardson, Brittany Garrabrant and Kiki the family cat.

Terri was the daughter of Thomas and Carol Vanzant. Her siblings include brother Thomas (Wanda) VanZant (nieces Karen VanZant and Nikki Bennett); brother David (Dawn) VanZant (nephews Howard (faith) VanZant, Jessie VanZant, and Niece Emma VanZant); and sister Karla (Brian) Myers (nephews Jackson Myers , Peyton Myers, and niece Ashtyn Myers).

She will be greatly missed and never forgotten

A visitation for Terri will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Anderson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers Please Donate to Hospice of Dayton
