Family was very important to Susan. She always spent time with her children and grandchildren cooking and baking for the holiday season. She loved to listen to Neil Diamond and would try to attend any concert he had in the area. She thoroughly enjoyed caring for all different types of animals and always had an array of animals in her house. She spent most weekends camping with her family at Lake Erie. She loved to visit the Marblehead lighthouse and feed the animals at the African Safari.
Susan was the perfect wife, mother, and grandmother and always spoiled the family, even those who weren’t blood related. She always had a smile on her face and was always honest with you when you needed support.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Denise and Cindy; brothers, Jack, Tommy, Doug and Ron.
Susan is survived by her husband of 49 years Tim Hobgood; daughters, Sheila Brown, Julie Oney, and Tammy (Nick) Stidham; grandchildren, Taylor (Nick) Piccoli, Maggie and Payton Brown, Aderianne, Andrew, Hayden and Hunter Oney, Kara Hobgood, and Carson Reynolds; great grandchildren, Phoebe Helms, and Noah Piccoli; sister, Pam Arehart; and brother Allen Neer.
A celebration of life for Susan will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Newspring Church, 1150 S. Main Street, Springboro, OH 45066.
