Michael was born in Kettering, Ohio on October 5, 2002, the loving and first-born son of Michael Todd Barch Sr. and Heather Dawn (Brixey) Barch, who survive him along with his two younger brothers, Matthew and Jacob. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Carolyn Brixey; paternal grandparents, Gerry and Teresa Nicholson; paternal great-grandmother, Grace Armacost; two uncles, Brian Brixey, David Brixey and his children, Kelsey and Josh Brixey; his aunt, Ellen Ruesch, Nikki (Matt) Arnold and her children, Alissa (Todd) Hall, Doug and Harper along with numerous other relatives and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his uncle, Don Nicholson.
Michael was a young man with exceptional potential having graduated from Springboro High School in 2021, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and participated on the Cross-Country team.
He was currently in his third year at Lee University in Cleveland, TN, where he was majoring in Accounting in anticipation of a successful career. He was in his second summer of an internship at the Accounting firm of Brixey&Meyer.
Always smiling, Michael was known to many as being a “light” and “pure soul” and was a true leader in all aspects. He was recently elected to be the President of the National Society of Leadership and Success beginning this fall.
Michael was an active member of Fairhaven Church, where he served in Kids Ministry and was strong in sharing his faith with others and leading them on their faith journey. He was a spiritual leader to all, including many persons quite older than himself.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Road in Centerville beginning at 1:30 p.m. and followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jared Petty officiating.
