James Leroy Denney, age 90, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Traditions of Lebanon. James was born in Todd, KY on March 8, 1933 to the late James Harvey and Georgia Ellen (Gilliland) Denney.
James served in the US Navy for 4 years and was employed with Household Finance Corporation for 25 years. After retirement he was an entrepreneur with real estate and appraisal companies. James served as a Deacon and Financial Officer for the Ridgeville Community Church. He was an early supporter of Ridgeville Christian School and was a Little League Baseball Coach for many years.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Ward. James is survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy L. (Glander) Denney; his children, Tia Lea (Denney) (Glen) Ford, James Harvey (Ellen) Denney; his grandson, Grant Raymond Ford and his brother, Omer Denney.
Funeral Services for James will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with military honors.
