Geoffrey Ryan Smith

Geoffrey Ryan Smith, age 44 of Dayton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 25, 2024. Born in Nashville, Tennessee on October 3, 1980, he was the youngest child of Andrew T. & Shelley M. (Midler) Smith. Geoff was a graduate of Springboro High School, class of 1998, received a bachelors of science from The Ohio State University in 2002, and later earned his masters degree in business administration from Ashland University.

He married the love of his life, Taylea (Griffieth) Smith on October 1, 2004 and they had two beautiful daughters, Barrett and Griffen. Geoff was a member of Fearless Church in Dayton, Ohio. He was an avid collector of hats, t-shirts, can coozies, stickers, and well-lived stories. He was always busy with a home improvement project. In his free time you could find him drinking a craft beer, relaxing by a bonfire, riding one of his many bicycles, or somewhere outdoors, hunting or golfing. He was a friend to all and will be missed by all who knew him.

Geoff is survived by his wife of 20 years, Taylea Smith; his daughters Barrett and Griffen; his parents Andrew & Shelley Smith; his father- and mother-in-law Mike & Bona Griffieth; siblings Meaghan (Smith) & Ricky Schneider; Andrew & Elise (Diaz) Smith; sister-in law Kendall (Griffieth) & Gentry Darby; nieces and nephews Alissa Schneider, Grady Schneider, Carter Smith, Davis Smith; Asher Darby, Dakota Darby; and his constant 4-legged companions, Ben and Sutton.

Friends and relatives may call on the family from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Fearless Church, 2601 E. Alex Bell Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to a scholarship fund established for Barrett and Griffen.
