I am so saddened by the news of harry passing....no matter what time or day he always took the time to listen and was very much a part of my family....

Dear Mrs. Edelstein & Joan, 
I was very saddened to hear about Judge Harry's passing. Although it's been way too many years, I always remembered him to be a stand up guy and a man I respected greatly. I have sent a contribution in his memory to the JDRF on behalf of all the Loren family. My mother and father, who are on their way home to Maryland, after visiting friends in NY over the weekend will be saddened to hear about Judge Harry's loss. We all send you our deepest regrets and best wishes for your good health.

My deepest condolences to all. I will always have loving memories of Friday dinners as Diane said Harry always made for a religious experience. I also remember Harry always having life savers in his pocket for us and carvel ice cream sandwiches. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Friday night dinners at your house were amazing between the chicken and the 'famous' rice and mushrooms the air was buzzing with discussion, stories, argument, and lot of love and laughter. Fridays have never been quite the same and as Harry always said 'it's a religious experience'

to the family of harry edelstein...i first met harry at tony & bernies gas station (1957)in nanuet...i had a car accident and asked if they knew a good lawyer...i felt a hand on my shoulder it was harry offering his help....where ever he is now im sure hes tapping someone on the shoulder offering a helping hand...over the years we still stayed in touch..he was a loyal friend and will always be remembered ....from your freind ..jo-e fornaro & family (las vegas nv)...

To The Family, Judge Edelstein was a stand up  judge for the  little people in the Village of Spring Valley. Never unfair and compassionate to the diverse community he served. They don't make this caliber of person anymore. May he RIP.   Conatance Williams, Charlotte, N.C.

Joan, I was sorry to read of your Dad's passing.  Your fond memories will keep him with you always.  I send you a hug.

You were the best , Harry !!...with a deep sense of empathy. No doubt, that the world is much better as the result of your deeds. You were a uniquely caring Minister of Justice.

I had the pleasure of shadowing him as a high school student. He was a tireless advocate for the underdog. Watching him in the courtroom was an amazing experience. He was Rockland's own Clarence Darrow!  My condolences to you.

I have known Harry since early 1980s.  In fact I met him just a few weeks ago.  I never needed him as an attorney, but I have known him as a true Humanitarian, always willing to help people, no matter what their need may be.  He truly brought credit to Humanity. The Judge will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He taught us all by example, "what it means to be human". Thank you Harry, for sharing a great life with us.

Harry was part of a group of men In Rockland who met weekly in different homes to play cards. For some unexplained reason, my dog, Miuttley, would always single him out on the driveway and would not stop barking at him. Memories always remain. So sorry for your loss. Judy Brautman (Naples,Fl.)
