Staff Sergeant Phillip Joseph Kesock passed away peacefully in his home in Spring Hill Florida at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife Teresa Kesock, son Edward Kesock (Crystal), daughters Kristie Shaw (Jesse), Patti Jo Kesock (favorite) and Natalie Edelhouser (Adam). His grandchildren Amber Kesock, Patrick Kesock, Lawrence Kesock-Shaw, Penelope Edelhauser and Benjamin Edelhouser. He also had great-grand children Colin Eldridge, Liam Kesock, Millie Dent, Jackson Kesock and Riley Amesbury.
Born in Alexandria Virginia, since a young man PJ had a deep love and pride for his family and country. Joining the Marines at the age of 17 in 1967. He was sent to Da Nang, Vietnam November 1967 where he is a recipient of 3 Purple Hearts and 2 Gold stars, Presidential Unit Citation with ribbon bar awarded, First Marine Division for service in Vietnam from 1967-1968, National Defensive Service medal with 3 Bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious unit Citation Gallantry Cross Color, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
After being medically retired he enjoyed his days with family, race cars and fishing poles. PJ met the love of his life in the summer of 1978, and they were married December 21, 1979. There was not a day that went by he was not telling his family stories of his life that would make you laugh for hours. He also would openly speak of his time overseas.
PJ was preceded in death by his Mother Arlene Kesock Little, Father Edward Kesock, sibling Vincent Little, father in-law Lonnie Williams and many other friends and family to long to list.
PJ will be forever missed by all his family and friends until we meet again
A memorial service for Phillip will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A prayer service will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A graveside service will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 1:50 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
