November 14, 2024. She was born in Norristown, PA on March 10, 1947. Growing up, she
enjoyed ice skating, swimming, and spending time on Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono
Mountains. Linda graduated from Methacton High School and later received a Bachelor’s of
Science degree from West Chester University in 1969. She married her college sweetheart,
Lance Clemons, on May 30, 1969. After graduation, she enjoyed being a “baseball wife”
supporting Lance’s professional and Major League baseball career. While in Naples, FL for
Spring Training, she began her teaching career at Shadowlawn Elementary. In 1975, she
moved to Spring Hill, FL with Lance where she continued her teaching career at Westside
Elementary and Spring Hill Elementary. She was a talented and well-loved educator for 14
years. After retiring from education, Linda spent many summer and autumn months in the
Poconos. She was an avid reader who enjoyed walking, knitting, staying hip with current
music trends, lunch with special friends, and time spent with her adoring family. She was
married to Lance until his passing in 2008 after 38 years of marriage. She is survived by her
two daughters, Tandra and Rebecca; her three grandchildren Nicholas, Laney, and Hunter;
and her great-grandson Carson. Linda was a stylish, humble woman who gave wonderful
advice and lived simply. In the words of our Mother/”Grammy”, “Life has a way of marching
on, so seize the day!” She was dearly loved by many and will be immensely missed. In
keeping with her wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held. In lieu of flowers,
donations in her memory may be made to The Humane Society of the Nature Coast.
