John "Johnnie" Paul Wallace, 75, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away in his sleep at Chapters Health Hospice on December 9, 2021. He survived a tough year in 2021 after having two (2) strokes and loosing his eyesight in January. John was born on April 15, 1946 in Brockton, MA, to the late Stephen And Emily (Galinis) Wallace.
John attended Sacred Heart School in Sharon, MA where he played football and hockey. John loved outdoor activities and family events, going to Plymouth Beach, boating, going to concerts and raising his daughter, Jennifer in Manomet, Mass.
In 1988, John moved to Spring Hill, FL, where he owned and operated his own business, National Floor Care for over 35 years. National was located less than one (1) mile from the Weeki Wachee River in Spring Hill and the store was nationally recognized as “where the gator shops” because in 1990, a 7ft, 125 lbs., alligator walked into the back door of the store and the gator took a bite of a vacuum on the showroom floor and attempted to walk out of the store with a vacuum in his mouth.
John had many joys in life, most of all; spending time with his family and friends. John loved cruising around the world with the Love of his life; Linda, traveling to Las Vegas every February, vacationing in Orlando at his Disney Vacation Club where the family got selected to be Grand Marshall’s in a holiday parade. John also enjoyed John’s Pass and staying at the Commodore Beach Club in Madeira Beach, FL for over 25 years.
John loved boating and he owned many boats; he was a member of the Hernando Beach Yacht Club for many years and he was active with the St.John’s Water District Management.
John will be greatly missed by his Loving wife of 26 years, Linda A. Wallace. He is survived by his family: Brother, David Wallace of Braintree, MA, Sister-in-law, Katy (Dolan) Wallace of Methuen, MA , Sister-in-law, Adrienne Wallace of Revere, MA. Daughters: Jennifer Wallace of Orlando, FL, Jessica Amundsen of Spring Hill, FL and Trista Maher of Port Richey, FL. As well as, three (3) Grandchildren: Brianna Touchton, Patrick Maher, and Ayden Amundesen and Nieces and Nephews: Mary Wallace Ridge and husband Gerald Ridge, Jr. of Braintree, MA, Joseph F. Wallace and wife Ruth Ann of Weymouth, MA, Christopher M. Wallace and wife Karen of Hanover, MA, David J. Wallace, Jr and his wife Joan of Weymouth, MA.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Herb Wallace, Metheun, MA, Sister-in-law, Barbara Wallace, Braintree, MA and Uncle Vic & Aunt Madonna Galinis, St. Pete, FL.
Due to the Current COVID state of affairs, services for John will be held in private.
