She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 25, 1923 and married Joseph J. "Johnny" Weber on January 20, 1950. Dot was an entrepreneur. She had a passion for square dancing with her husband, playing cards, watching the Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays baseball teams, playing Scrabble, completing puzzles and being around her family. She especially enjoyed many cookouts and ice cream dates when family visited her in Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Pearl Kemp; her husband, Joseph Weber; daughter, Gail Marlene Duey; Baby Weber; and great grandson, Franklyn Weir.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Ann Weber (Johnny Ragsdale) of Ocala, Florida; son-in-law, Robert Duey of Swartz Creek, Michigan; 6 grandchildren, James (Crystal) Weir, Jeanne (Ted) Bruger, Stacey (Rodney) Babcock, Jennifer Jackson, Shelley (Jonathan) Maxson and Corey Duey; 14 great-grandchildren, Kyle Babcock, Kayla Jackson, Ashley Jackson, Danielle Jackson, Aaliyah Maynard, Jeanne Weir, Jalen Babcock, Melissa Weir, Jace Babcock, Mazen Babcock, Auto Weir, Gabriel Weir, Korbin Maxson, and Jack Maxson. She was blessed to meet and hold her great great-grandchild, Greyson Jones.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, where a service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
