Married first to Donald Hudek and later to John (Jack) Mulligan, Gen was the mother of nine children. Gen and her family moved often and she explored a number of occupations including waitressing, secretarial work, farming, and nursing.
Gen was a 1982 graduate of Boise State University in the field of nursing. Following this graduation, she returned to the Spooner/Trego area. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years at the Hayward Nursing Home until her retirement.
Gen will be remembered by family and friends alike for the twinkle in her eye and her love of a good story. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, knitting, sewing, gardening, and most of all meeting new people. In her later years her face would light up whenever a small child was within her sight.
Geneva is survived by her brother Paul (Phyllis) Anderson, and brother-in-law Joe Brinda. Her surviving children are; JoAnne (Garnell) Martin, Billie (Sam) TwoFeathers, Carol (Steve) Hansen, Cathy (Ken) Hedmark, John (Suzanne) Hudek, Rachel (Randy) Schuneman, Patrick (Corinne) Mulligan, and Michael Mulligan. She also leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Jack Mulligan, her former husband Don Hudek, son Larry Hudek, father Frank Anderson, mother Bertha Dahlstrom, sisters Margaret Perkins, Ruth Swartz, and Edie Brinda.
Gen’s family wishes to thank the caring staff of Rice Lake Convalescent Center for their kindness during her time in residence there.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am at the Lampson Cemetery on July 12, followed by a meal at Lampson Town Hall
