Wiley served two years in the army and eight years in the air force, when he was no longer in the service he was a truck driver for Kaiser Aluminum in Mead, WA.
Wiley married Patricia Fluiatt in 1957, and the couple had six children together. Sadly Patricia passed in 1979. Wiley got remarried to Stephanie, they were together for 28 years before his passing. Stephanie had two children, Tina and Anthony, who became Wiley’s step-children.
Wiley enjoyed several hobbies such as; hunting, fishing, traveling, and amateur radio. He loved the outdoors, and in his younger years was a very avid hunter with sniper quality skills. He also operated his own ham radio, Wiley built laser beam antennas that gave him the ability to talk with people around the world.
Wiley’s son Robert will always remember the times he would say the phrase “Say old man can you play the fiddle?” and his father would reply,” Yes by god I could play a little.” His neighbors will also remember Wiley’s generous and kind heart. He would consistently help his neighbors whether they needed snow removal or wood chopped, and he would accept no payment for these kind deeds. His neighbors knew that if they needed help they could count on Wiley.
Wiley is survived by his wife Stephanie Williams, his children; Geraldine, Linda, Theresa, Robert, Ronald, Susan, and step-children Tina and Anthony, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held for Wiley on October 28, 2022 from 9 AM to 10 AM at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205, followed by his graveside service at Fairmont Memorial Park at 10:30 AM, 5200 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. With military honors by the U.S. air force.
