Roland C Glidden

Rollie was born in Walters, MN and raised in Clarkston, WA, where he graduated from Clarkston High School. He then enlisted in the Navy, after which he attended and graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in Education. Rollie taught at Madison Elementary and then at Salk Middle School until his retirement. He spent several summers as a Park Ranger in Mt. Rainier National Park where he did patrol, and search and rescue.

Rollie is survived by his Son, Scott Glidden; daughter, Barbara Schiemann (Bill); special companion of 23 years, Jana Christensen; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Mary Wright; and brothers, Howard Glidden (Jan) and Kenny Glidden (Sharon). He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Joy; parents, Laura and Ambrose Glidden; and 1 grandchild.

Memorial Services will be held at Fairmount Memorial Sunset Chapel on Monday June 30, 2014 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
