Jane Dannheiser Wynhoff passed away on October 26, 2011 at the age of 93. She was the youngest daughter of Lazarus and Bertha (Strauss) Dannheiser. Raised in Colville, Washington, she graduated from Colville High School and then received a BA Degree from the University of Washington. Jane married the late James Wynhoff, an engineer, who worked on various U. S. Bureau of Reclamation projects throughout the western and central U.S. after WWII. Jane was a devoted homemaker and community volunteer throughout her life. She loved trout fishing in lakes north of Colville, and always caught her limit. She enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, and was an active member of the American Association of University Women. Jane moved to Spokane in 1999 to be near family. Jane was preceded in death by her sister Rose. Jane is survived by three children and their spouses; James and wife Sandy; Mary-Bert and husband Ken; Sally and husband Ron; and grandchildren Tracey and Matt. The family is very grateful for the loving and selfless care provided by her caregivers Jennifer, Reeanna, Mary Y. and Michael. A short Graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, October 31 at Fairmount Memorial Cemetery, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA.
