Deborah Cheryl Walter

Deborah C. Walter, was born in Spokane, WA to Jack and Darlene Walter on September 29th, 1955 was taken to Heaven on March 2nd, 2023. At age 12, following her mother's death, she was raised by her paternal grandparents Gary and Marie Walter. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1973 then followed into the Army Reserves until 1976. Years later she earned a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from Whitworth University in 2002.

She started her mortgage career in 1974, and retired in 2014. To the many people who mentored her, she would like to thank everyone, including her customers, as her work was incredibly fulfilling for her.

She loved giving to the community, and volunteered many hours to places that were near and dear to her heart. Giving was in her blood.

She follows in death her wonderful Dad, her best dog Hershey. She is survived by her sisters; Pam Gates, Donna (Tim) Kirkpatrick, Rachael Lemon and Gayle Hueth. Her nieces; Amy, Kelly & Stephanie and nephews; John, Josh and Caleb.

She has left us with one request, “Please look for ways to help others, it is only a small thing. It will make them, and you, very happy! See you in Heaven!”

Services will be held at Northwood Presbyterian Church on May 20th at 11AM. Celebration following, please email for location [email protected].

In lieu of flowers, she asks for donations to be sent to the Hospice of Spokane, Spokanimal or Meals on Wheels.
